Job Description
Total Point Care is seeking a Health Educator to help promote healthy lifestyle choices and provide guidance to individuals and groups to assist with health-related matters. As Health Educator, you will provide essential health education to clients so they can make informed decisions to lead healthy, sustainable lifestyles. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, mental health, and chronic disease prevention.
Responsibilities
  • Develop health education materials and programs that are engaging, culturally appropriate, and based on evidence-based practices
  • Create and deliver presentations, workshops, and seminars to individuals and groups on various health topics
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, community-based organizations, and agencies to promote health and wellness
  • Provide individual coaching and counseling services to clients on healthy lifestyle practices
  • Assess clients' health needs and develop personalized health plans based on their goals, risk factors, and lifestyle habits
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines related to health and wellness, and implement best practices in health education
  • Implement and evaluate health promotion programs and activities aimed at addressing health disparities and improving overall health outcomes
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in delivering health education programs or working in public health
  • Knowledge of health behavior change theories and techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups
  • Understanding of health disparities and how to address them
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Health Education, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field
