Job Summary

• The purpose of the program is to improve health outcomes and the value of health care delivery by providing designated members of certain populations with population health management tools and analytics, delivering comprehensive health and wellness programs to meet the needs of a given population, meaningfully engaging targeted individuals in the management of their own health and wellness, and optimizing care collaboration and coordination with healthcare providers.
• This position relies on program knowledge and subject matter expertise to assist clients and members in accomplishing wellness goals.
• The Health and Wellness Coach serves in a variety of functions, including but not limited to providing direct support for clients and members of Avera’s wellness programs.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field (Psychology, Exercise Science, Nutrition, Wellness, Health Education, and/or Promotion) preferred.
• Two-three years of experience with overall worksite wellness and implementing health and wellness programs.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• CPR and AED training required within 12 months of employment.
• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), or other related health certification preferred.

Work Schedule

• Occasional holiday
• Rotates every seventh Saturday
• Monday-Saturday, varied shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $19.50-$29.50 per hour
