Atlantic Hockey

The Position
Reporting to the associate athletics director, the head women’s soccer coach is responsible for effectively directing and administering all aspects of a successful women’s soccer program, which emphasizes proven and effective coaching techniques, recruiting, support of high academic achievement, individual skill development, and creating off-season and summer programs for athletes and partners strategically with strength and conditioning staff. The next coach is expected to be actively involved in university, community, and alumni engagement. Administratively, the head coach will supervise one part-time assistant coach and coordinate team travel, scheduling, budgeting, and scouting. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative staff position. As such, this position will also support the functions and endeavors of the department of athletics and the institution.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree and have significant knowledge of and proven success in coaching soccer, preferably at the collegiate or club level. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to developing and maintaining a positive and productive playing environment for all team members, proven recruiting skills, and a commitment to student-athlete well-being and academic success. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of both NCAA and conference rules and regulations, a demonstrated respect for diversity of identities and experiences, and an orientation toward equity, inclusion, and cultural competency.
