Head Of Project Management

Role Expectations

- Overall in charge of the Project from Concept to Commissioning

- Develop entire Project as per specifications and within budget and timelines approved by the Management

- Obtain all regulatory approvals required for the Project and ensure necessary compliances from time to time

- Regularly review the Project and drive Project Development which includes:

 Engineering of the Project

 Procurement of Equipment for Project

 Construction of the Project

- Responsible for efficiently managing life cycle of the entire project i.e. from concept to commissioning.

- Develop strategies for executing projects in a timely and cost effective manner

- Strategize & establish robust system and process for effective Project Management & Control of the Project

- Ensure international quality, safety and environment standards during execution of the project

- Develop network of competent vendors & contractors for executing the Project

- Efficiently & effectively manage vendors and contractors engaged at the Project - Lead, train & motivate multiple teams involved in execution of the Project

Educational Qualifications and necessary Certifications:

- BS/Bachelor of Engineering in Civil / Mechanical

- Certification in Project Management Professional will be an added advantage

Experience

- Should have 20-25 years of experience in an International / Indian EPC Company involved in execution of large scale Mining & Steel Making Project - Should have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position

Skills

- Strong & proven track record of having successfully executed medium to large size Mining & Steel Projects in India / Overseas

- Extensive experience in managing large project management and execution teams

- Demonstrate clear and concise thought process, which is logical and innovative at the same time

- Highly adept at looking at all options and evaluating them quickly and efficiently;

- Excellent ability to multi-task, run several projects and work streams at same time

- Techno Commercial professional with knowledge in contracting, negotiating and change management

- Should have knowledge of Project Control Systems & Processes and hands on with various project monitoring tools viz. Primavera, Wrench, SAP etc.

- In depth knowledge of International Engineering Codes and Standards.

- Good Business & Financial Acumen

- High level of Interpersonal & Influencing Skills

- Excellent Presentation Skills

- Highly developed Leadership Skills, and highly refined Executive Management Skills

- Ability to motivate teams to deliver within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.
