Handyman

The Handyman will perform various labor-intensive tasks in an industrial setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman. May operate a variety of hand and power tools, moving furniture, light carpentry, some plumbing repair and other light repairs and installations. May assist other craft workers. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of Handyman tasks that may involve strenuous manual labor, including furniture moving, light carpentry, plumbing repairs and other light repairs and installations.
  • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety personnel.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education – no minimum education requirements.

Certification/License: A Valid State Driver’s License.

Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.

Must pass drug screen and background check, as a condition of employment.

Pay rate depends on experience.

No Per Diem.
