Job Description
Job Title: Guest Services Event Manager

Location: Capital One Arena
Pay Rate: $20 / hr
Hours: Varies by week, mostly part time nights and weekends, but may be up to 40 hours per week based on event calendar
BEST Crowd Management is a leading provider of crowd management and event staffing solutions. We are currently seeking a highly organized and dynamic Guest Services Event Manager to join our team at Capital One Arena. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of events and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Manage, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of event operations to meet customer requirements and ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
Identify and address any issues occurring during events, promptly notifying the Account Manager/Area Manager and/or Client as necessary. Prepare incident reports or assist with investigations as directed.
Respond to client or site emergencies as they arise, ensuring appropriate communication to the Account Manager and/or Client, as well as the Area Manager.
Foster positive client and security relationships through regular team and client interactions and support.
Act as the primary contact for Event Supervisors, providing guidance, performance feedback, coaching, and training.
Coordinate and conduct on-the-job training, developing and enhancing standard operating procedures and ensuring staff are prepared to respond to emergencies and meet client needs.
Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures and training materials are properly maintained and updated, and that all work areas are organized and maintained according to standards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-3 years of professional-level experience, preferably in security, event staffing, law enforcement, or the military.
Previous experience in customer service, security, or a related field is required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
Strong independent judgment and discretion, with the ability to recognize and escalate significant matters appropriately.
Adaptability and ability to respond effectively to changes in situations or information.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear frequently.
Willingness to stand or walk for extended periods of up to 10 hours.
Capability to climb and work at heights, stoop, bend, and reach above the shoulders when needed.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and exposure to various outdoor weather conditions.
Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 45 pounds.
Strong visual abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment:
The work environment may vary based on the nature of events but may include indoor and outdoor settings. The Guest Services Event Manager should be adaptable to different environments and able to handle the demands of the job.
