Groundsman Jobs

General: Duties Include: yard clean up, brush dragging, brush chipping, rigging, create a tool zone, set-up road signs/cones, clean work area, sawyer work, observe tree felling operations, site safety, assist climber and operator, saw maintenance, stay in compliance with OSHA and ANSI-300 standards.

Morning: review work order, discuss job site hazards, check equipment and trucks that they are ready for the day, double check equipment check list, make sure all tools and equipment are properly loaded

On-the-job: assess hazards on the job site, give clear direction to crew, make sure all tools and equipment are being used properly, utilize teaching opportunities when possible, make sure ANSI pruning and tree felling operations are being followed, keep crew on-task, collect payments, communicate with customers, write change orders

Evening: Make sure all tools, equipment and trucks are stored properly, prepare for the next morning, daily debrief, report damage, injury, or failed compliance, complete daily report, drop payments in cashbox

Credentials and Experience Requirements:

• Must have valid CA drivers license
• Must have CDL
