Rogers Group is seeking a General Laborer/Groundman for our quarry operations located in Hollywood, AL..

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Light maintenance work and maintain the belt lines
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times
• Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling stone from around conveyors and assist with plant clean up and operations
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management

Wages starting at $18.00/hr based on experience. Some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will train. Higher pay for skilled applicants. A shift Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other
• Duties as assigned
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
