Position Summary

Work with the product development team to design department-specific creative print and pattern materials in accordance with trend direction while adhering to specified timelines. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions

• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prepare detailed prints, technical sketches and specification sheets as needed for the manufacturing process
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new concepts and ideas
• Incorporate company's brand standards into creative work
• Travel to collaborate with the product development team on seasonal design specifications
• Translate business objectives and Kroger communication principles into compelling, creative designs
• Create trend right prints and graphics that are brand appropriate and submit designs for approval Work with the product development team to ensure timelines for approval are adhered to

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to continue education
• Proficient with industry standard design tools and software
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and projects
• Clear understanding of branding best practices
• Strong oral/written communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and manage own schedule within the framework of the team
• Strong organizational skills with specific attention to detail
• Ability to conceptualize and design graphic materials to completion
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop others
• Expertise and flexibility to design materials for an apparel application
• Bachelor's Degree in design and 3 years in a design position

Desired Previous Experience/Education

• Proficient in Adobe Creative suite
• Bachelor's or associates degree in graphic arts, advertising, design or a related field
