Graphic Design Specialist Jobs

General Description: The Graphic Design Specialist supports CARS across projects, in graphic design, editing and formatting of presentations, documents and reports. This individual will be an integral member of the Communications Team at CARS. They will work closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing and various project team members including Project Directors and Project Mangers to format content for a diverse audience. They will be responsible for formatting CARS’ organization-level and/or project-level deliverables to ensure proper formatting or reformatting, editing of PowerPoint presentations, creating forms as requested by staff across the organization. They will provide support with finalizing of documents according to funder and project determined deadlines. They will review all content for 508 Compliance and user accessibility standards and make recommendations or direct changes to improve accessibility.

Design/Formatting:

·Primary focus on formatting or reformatting PowerPoint presentations for project deliverables.

·Works collaboratively with staff across projects on presentations, info graphics, written publications, and reports for final editing.

·Works with a wide range of documents and reports with deadline driven focus.

·Reviews for 508 compliance, making corrections where needed to finalize and/or edit.

·Creates PDF editable forms in Adobe Acrobat.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

· High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.

·High proficiency in both Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.

·Knowledge of photo manipulation, editing and generating charts and graphs.

·Ability to follow branding and style guides across varied projects.

·Familiarity with 508 Accessibility Compliance and Guidelines, a plus.

·Working knowledge of Copyright Laws for image and photo use for graphics, a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

·3-5 years’ experience with editing, graphic design, and formatting.

·Ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Salary Range: $85,000-110,000 annually. Please note that the salary range indicated in this job description is reflective of the compensation norms in the Northern California region. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as the specific work location, candidate qualifications, and market conditions.
