GRANTS PROJECT COORDINATOR, Contract


The Nonprofit Advantage is a consulting firm providing grant research, writing and administration, start-up coaching, and strategic planning. We specialize in nonprofit organizations related to charitable, educational, and religious focus along with municipal governments. Some of our particular expertise lies in pregnancy support organizations, out of school time programs, hunger relief organizations and federally qualified healthcare clinics.


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Grant Project Coordinator to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of The Nonprofit Advantage’s grant development and administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle grant making processes and a knack for project management.


Hourly Rate: $34-$38, based on experience

Hours per week: 18-22 to start with the possibility of becoming a full-time position.

Location: Fully remote, CST preferred


Key Objectives of the Role:


  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations related to grant funding.
  • Lead the development of compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with grant requirements, program goals, and strategic objectives.
  • Research, write, and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies to secure funding for various nonprofit projects and initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in grant management and philanthropy.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate grant reports, including financial statements, program outcomes, and impact assessments.
  • Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from application to closeout, ensuring compliance with grant terms, conditions, and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize Monday.com to manage project timelines, tasks, resources, and milestones for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive grant strategy aligned with client organizations’ mission, goals, and programs.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client organization's programs, goals, and financial needs to tailor grant applications effectively.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:


  • Commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit organization.
  • Working knowledge of current technologies is a must for this role including: strong proficiency using Monday.com for project management and collaboration, and experience using tools like Instrumentl for grant research to identify and evaluate funding opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of grant-making processes, funding sources, and compliance requirements in the nonprofit sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or proven track record of successful grant writing for nonprofit organizations, including securing significant funding.
  • Nice to have: non-profit operations management experience including administrative support, program coordination, and financial management.
  • Remote-savvy technical agility and competency with Google Workspace.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to develop persuasive grant proposals and reports.
