Position Summary
Provides college-wide leadership in planning, researching, writing, budgeting, submitting, managing and monitoring grants and grant processes for CNM. Develops relationships with private foundations, corporations, and granting agencies. Identifies public and private grant opportunities that fit CNM’s Mission and Vision and support strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintains records of grants submitted, active projects, funding needs, potential funding sources and other grant activities.
  • Coordinates and processes grant applications from concept to submission. Assists faculty and staff in writing grants; organizes, compiles, and analyzes data related to proposed projects; composes or edits proposals; drafts letters of inquiry, support, agreement, and commitment; provides training on development of grant proposals; and assists project directors with preparation and submission of renewal applications, grant modification requests, and reports.
  • Facilitates project development meetings; researches concepts; prepares drafts for internal review; develops budgets.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Helps to match grant related programs, projects, services, and activities to mission and goals of CNM, including CNM Foundation and CNM Ingenuity.
  • Recommends policies and formulates and implements procedures to address institutional priorities and needs.
  • Researches, analyzes, and identifies funding opportunities in support of CNM priorities; reviews literature dealing with funds available from public, private, and corporate sources; serves as liaison with funding agencies and organizations; and disseminates necessary information to obtain funding.
  • Facilitates Grant Management meetings as necessary to support Principal Investigators, Grant Accountants, and Institutional Research staff during grant periods and to prepare for grant reporting.
  • Carries out active and effective grants development processes for CNM; collaborates with administrators, faculty, and staff to determine funding needs and identify funding opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AND
  • Two (2) years of professional experience where the major duties included professional writing, proposal development, and project management
