Golf Course Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking to fill a key position in our Turfgrass department that will take pride in managing two Pete Dye designed PGA Championship 18-hole golf courses. Responsible for directing and participating in the maintenance of the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers. The Assistant Superintendent will embrace the Nemacolin culture and values, and be responsible for providing our guests and members the best golf course playing conditions possible on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Four year degree preferably in Turfgrass Management/Science or related field
• Required to possess PA state certification for pesticides for category 7.
• Must be able to speak English
• Be at least 18 years old and possess valid driver’s license.

THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT REPORTS DIRECTLY TO THE GOLF COURSE

UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT, THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT DIRECTS AND PARTICIPATES IN THE MAINTENANCE OF THE GOLF COURSE GREENS, TEES, FAIRWAYS, AND BUNKERS. THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT MAY SERVE IN THE SUPERINTENDENT’S CAPACITY DURING HIS/HER ABSENCE.
