Job Description

The Golf Cart Attendant will provide prompt courteous service and have the ability to anticipate the needs of guests before, during, and after their round. This position will provide each guest with personal attention and friendly service upon arrival and departure.

** The Monster Golf Club is a new facility and is anticipated to open in August 2023. This position will be offered as part time in year 1 from August 7th through November 3rd

This position is anticipated to begin Mid- April and be full time seasonal through October during normal years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean all player’s clubs (to include members, guests, VIPs, and RW staff) before and after each round.
  • Stock and restock golf carts with beverages, towels, and any other amenities as needed throughout the day.
  • Assist in the Golf Shop/Clubhouse as a retail associate as requested.
  • Closing duties to include but not limited to removing range furniture, washing golf balls, restocking buckets, cleaning of carts (prior to parking in cart barn), plug all carts into a charging station.
  • Communicate with departments regarding members transitioning through property.
  • Complete daily set-up/breakdown of all range equipment, amenities, and activities.
  • Assist customers with service during their round and promptly respond to any player requests.
  • Ensure an adequate number of carts are staged and ready for use at all times.
  • Work in conjunction with pro-shop and shuttle team and assist as needed.
  • Opportunity to provide caddie services if qualified and requested by the Club Manager.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
  • Accurate tracking of all daily golf activity.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure on the range.
  • Attend department meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • Maintain clean cart fleet and support vehicles
  • Assist with monthly cart detailing.
  • Always count clubs prior to putting them on bag rack or sending back with shuttle.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Some General Golf Knowledge
  • Ability to park carts accurately in tight spaces.
  • Experience working in a private club or upscale hospitality environment strongly preferred.
  • No specific degree required
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred

Compensation

  • End of season bonus (up to $1500*)
  • Tipped position
  • $18-20/ Hour BOE
  • End of season bonus will be based on job attendance and is taxed accordingly. $1500 to be paid on final check of season assuming 100% shifts fulfilled, $1000 will be paid if 95% percent of shifts are fulfilled, NO BONUS FOR LESS THAN 95% of shifts fulfilled (excluding excused absences)
