Summary

Procurement Services is searching for an Auxiliary Operations Manager to join our team. We currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to manage Procurement's Auxiliary units - Print Copy Mail, Property Disposition, Property Control, and Space Analysis. We are seeking a positive and effective leader who has a strong desire to succeed in a team-oriented and customer-focused environment. The chosen candidate must be experienced working in a fast paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities concurrently.

Procurement Services manages a diverse selection of goods and services, offering the university community key business services including procurement, travel & expense, space analysis, property control, printing, copying, and mailing services, and property disposition.

This is a hybrid position with between 50-90% on site at Property Disposition and Print Copy Mail as needed

Responsibilities*

  • Use systems to analyze, interpret and report on data; develop and/or generate reports for the director of Procurement with regards to business operations
  • Develop and execute a vision for these areas that positions them as a customer-focused partner, providing services across campus
  • Develop and implement short and long term strategic plans in concert with the Director of Procurement
  • Ensure adherence to university standard practices and federal requirements governing operation procedures
  • Create a culture of building expertise and commitment to serving as a resource for the university
  • Market products and services to the campus community as well as external customers
  • Continue to increase communication and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Articulate and communicate business needs and lead changes to improve business processes

Required Qualifications*

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software and the Google Suite
  • Strong relationship-building and exemplary organizational skills
  • Management experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and/or combination of education and experience.
  • A balanced approach in providing the appropriate attention to detail to assigned project deliverables is necessary.
  • Strong leadership skills, such as the ability to motivate and inspire a team, create a strategic vision, manage conflict, and make decisions
