Job Description

Aerospace Manufacturing company is looking for a General Manager. This is a full-time permanent role in Albuquerque, NM.


DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES


Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager will be charged with leading a stand-alone manufacturing company. The General Manager will be accountable for delivering operational, financial, customer and growth commitments. Additionally, the General Manager will analyze the company's markets, customers, and business unit performance to develop and deliver a multi-customer growth strategy.


The General Manager will bring vision, energy, passion, resolve, and leadership to the division's management team. The selected candidate will be a member of the executive leadership team and will work collaboratively and consultatively with the team and amongst peers to deliver the strategic and tactical goals of the overall business.

The selected candidate will be accountable for P&L management, dedicated plant operations, portfolio development and profitability, customer relationships, and global brand positioning.


RESPONSIBILIES TO INCLUDE:


  • Establish annual operating plans, budgets, capital appropriations, and manpower plans to assure the most productive utilization of human, financial and capital resources.
  • Ensure the highest ethical standards across the organization; gain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity and authenticity.
  • Build and coach high performing teams across operations management, engineering, quality, and support functions.
  • Set the expectations and pace for talent selection, development, engagement, and performance management.
  • Develop and communicate long-term, multi-customer growth strategy and recommendations; gain team buy-in and leadership approval, and execute against the strategy.
  • Establish and develop the leadership team and their direct reports in line with the strategic vision of the organization and establish effective succession planning.
  • Comply with all applicable company and regulatory/legislative policies relating to ethical business conduct; Environmental, Health and Safety; and labor and employment and as stated in SCI Employee Handbook.
  • Acts as ITAR empowered official as defined in CONI-1.1
  • Deliver financial results (P&L) for the business and drive sustainable profitability increases year over year.
  • Determine strategic approach to measuring opportunity costs and business value of new programs.
  • Instill a customer-focused mindset and gain the voice of customer insight to drive new product development and innovation and build a sense of energy and excitement.
  • Oversees all of the resources required to operate the business, including personnel, facilities, materials, machinery/equipment and associated activities.
  • Prepares reports on company activities for corporate entity as required.
  • Recommends/develops/ implements improved procedures and practices.
  • Drive operational excellence – lead, teach and implement lean / ToC practices across the organization.
  • Establish, improve, sustain and report KPI performance; and drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and people.
  • Performs other duties, as required.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:


  • Strong lean manufacturing or ToC experience.
  • Ability to understand, monitor, analyze and take appropriate actions regarding budgets issues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the quotation and contracts processes.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • BS in Engineering, Business or a related required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) preferred
  • Ability to plan/direct company activities and establish goals for effective control of operating costs.
  • 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience is desired.
  • Strong track record of driving operational performance - building teams, managing change, streamlining processes and improving safety, quality, delivery and profitability.

COMPENSATION: $200,000-$225,000 base

Annual Bonus: 15%
