Job Summary:

At the Pocono Boat House, we are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as General Laborers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where job content changes with the seasons. We welcome candidates with no previous training or job experience, as comprehensive training will be provided for all aspects of the position. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

To excel in the role of General Laborer at the Pocono Boat House, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

1. Valid Driver's License: A current and valid driver's license is a must, as this role may involve driving company vehicles for tasks such as boat deliveries and maintenance.
2. Physical Strength: The ability to lift and carry objects weighing at least 50 pounds is essential, as this role requires handling various equipment and materials.
3. Adaptability: As job content changes with the seasons, candidates should demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to perform a wide range of tasks in different weather conditions.
4. Positive Attitude: Maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude is key, as this role involves interactions with customers and team members to ensure a pleasant experience for all.

Key Responsibilities by Season:

Winter:

• During the winter season, your role will involve assisting with ski and snowboard rentals, ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience on the slopes.
• You'll also be responsible for snow plowing and maintaining safe access to our facility, ensuring our customers can easily reach us even in snowy conditions.

Fall:

• As autumn arrives, your duties will shift to preparing our boats and docks for the winter months. This includes boat winterization, ensuring they are properly stored and protected from the elements.
• Additionally, you'll assist in the removal of docks and the careful wrapping of boats for storage, contributing to the preservation of our watercraft.

Spring:

• With the arrival of spring, you'll play a vital role in getting our boats ready for the upcoming boating season. This includes boat summerization, ensuring they are in excellent condition for our customers to enjoy.
• You'll also be involved in the installation of docks, helping to create a welcoming environment for boaters, and assisting with boat deliveries to ensure our customers receive their watercraft promptly.

Summer:

• In the summer season, you'll be responsible for boat deliveries, ensuring our customers receive their boats in top condition and ready for a great time on the water.
• Beyond boat deliveries, you'll contribute to the maintenance of our lawns and grounds, ensuring that our facility remains inviting and well-kept throughout the summer months.

Year-Round:

• You'll collaborate with our team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of all tasks, taking pride in contributing to the success of the Pocono Boat House.
• Throughout the year, you'll maintain a positive and customer-focused attitude, providing excellent service and assistance to our patrons.
• These responsibilities reflect the dynamic nature of this role, where you'll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, gaining valuable skills and experiences in each season. Your adaptability and dedication will be crucial in ensuring our customers have a memorable experience, no matter the time of year.
