This is an entry-level position for Capitol Complex maintenance facilities, performing a wide-range of job duties.
A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist all other trades (structure and electrical) with minor maintenance.
- Grounds work – This position will mow, edge, trim, remove snow, rake, and remove trash and weeds from all exterior areas. This includes Saturday duties such as testing of fire alarms, sprinklers, back flows and other system testing.
- Assist HVAC and plumbing - Assist HVAC and plumbing with tasks such as changing filters and servicing and cleaning equipment and annually removing all air conditioner units.

The exceptional candidate will possess the proven ability or accomplishment in the following preferred qualifications:
- Trades such as HVAC, carpentry, building maintenance.
- Previous State Service related to the work assigned to the position
- Experience with construction or maintenance.
Conditions of Employment:
- Shift Work: Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift
- Travel as needed
- A pre-employment criminal background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
