Job Description

Collier & Collier LLC is seeking a highly credentialed and experienced General Contractor to join our dynamic team. As a General Contractor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and a proven track record of successful project completion.


Responsibilities:


  1. Project Management: Take ownership of multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed efficiently, within budget, and according to established timelines.
  2. Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, including determining project requirements, allocating resources, and establishing clear objectives and deliverables. Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and managing potential risks.
  3. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for each project, closely monitor expenditures, and make necessary adjustments to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
  4. Procurement and Subcontractor Management: Source, select, and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they meet project requirements and quality standards. Negotiate contracts, review bids, and oversee procurement processes.
  5. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as needed. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve project objectives.
  7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project participants.
  8. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members to optimize productivity and project outcomes.


Requirements:


  1. Education and Credentials: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Manager) are highly desirable.
  2. Proven Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a General Contractor, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing and completing construction projects of varying complexity and scope.
