Duquesne University School of Nursing (SON) is a widely recognized pioneer in nursing education, having created Pennsylvania’s first BSN program in 1937 and the nation’s first online nursing PhD program in 1997. The School of Nursing (SON) is currently seeking a 9 month nurse faculty non-tenure track, assistant professor position in a variety of nursing areas to begin August 2023. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across multiple levels.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD or DNP
- Experience in nursing education and or practice
- Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to the profession as evidenced in record of professional leadership or public service, or scholarship
- Clinical experience
- A terminal degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD)
- Preference will be given to the candidate with successful teaching experience at the university or college level and online instruction experience
Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
