We are seeking several React.JS Developers who will be responsible for mostly front-end and some minor back end development using a combination of the latest tools and technologies to build everything the user sees and interacts with on a website and mobile application. They have an understanding on how to work with and build mobile and desktop applications. This position demonstrates and accomplishes duties through a respectful, constructive, energetic and motivating style guided by company objectives. The position will support us in growing our product quickly into world-wide markets.

BASE WORK LOCATION: Position can be based in the Hunt Valley, MD location. “Remote Work” environment consideration is available. (07/26/23cw)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assumes full ownership of a feature from conception to launch
• Builds a ReactJS mobile application using Redux for state management and Firebase for data persistence
• Practices test-drive development and writes industry-standard unit tests
• Participates in peer code reviews and Agile development activities
• Performs duties associated with and is a champion for Agile development, code quality, continuous deployment and integration and elegant design
• Performs duties associated with and is a champion for code quality
• Performs duties associated with making incremental changes to TypeScript microservices to support front-end development
• Partners and works with cross-functional teams for API integrations

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in Front-End development
• Demonstrated experience writing Unit Tests and practicing Test Driven development
• Effective communication and interaction skills
• Self motivated and quick/continuous learner with a passion for innovation
• Demonstrated experience in client architecture and performance optimization tools in the mobile space
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in working with teams across the company
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills as an individual contributor and on a team
• 3+ years of experience implementing ReactJS in TypeScript
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated working experience with Git
• Proven understanding of object-oriented and functional design patterns
• Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently to dive deep and solve tough problems
• Strong, resilient, results driven and self-directed individual with personal commitment to excellence

Preferred Experience and/or Education:

• Familiarity with Jest; Wagering/gaming industry experience; Knowledge of horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming, sports wagering and/or social marketplace industries; Working in a scaled Agile environment

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES - SUPERVISORY:

• This position is empowered to take initiative with applicable duties/projects
• This position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Regular travel not required; Sporadic travel for team and/or business meetings throughout a calendar year may be possible.
