The Opportunity
Adobe is looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead a critical UI team for Adobe Analytics, Adobe's industry-leading analytics platform. At Adobe Analytics, we process trillions of rows of data to empower the world's largest companies with the insights they need to run their business. Our UI teams build rich user experiences so our customers can find those and share insights via powerful visualizations. The team you will lead builds the shared components and infrastructure that enables all of the other Analytics UI teams. You will partner closely with product management and design to perform product discovery, ensuring the work of your team delivers value to the customers and other UI teams. This position within the Experience Cloud business unit is based in our Lehi, UT offices and allows remote work up to 50% of the time.
What you'll do
Lead a team of engineers through the research, technical design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of software
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with partner teams, both local and remote, in completing interdependent work items
Influence design decisions and technical direction for engineers, QE, product managers, user experience designers, and senior leaders
Ensure transparency of project status to partners
Manage each team member's performance, employing ongoing performance feedback and mentoring
Incentivize quality code and effective teamwork
Partner with designers and business leaders to provide an outstanding customer experience
Engage with customers to understand problems, test ideas, and refine workflows
What You Need to Succeed
A minimum of five years of software engineering, with at least 3 years of leading a team
Proven track record of successful execution of the complete software development lifecycle
Experience building shared tooling - Understanding of front-end architectures (monoliths vs micro-frontends)
Experience building modern JavaScript front-end (React preferred)
Exemplify a growth-mindset with an ability to learn new technologies and to maintain a high degree of technical involvement with your team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cooperatively with people at all levels
Experience leading or participating in agile software development
BA/BS in computer science, or equivalent work experience, strong computer science fundamentals knowledge

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $123,000 -- $256,400 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
