SUMMARY
Bespoke Capital Markets Group, LLC is a family of companies that provides funds, investors, governments, and service providers with essential tools to grow their tax lien business. The BCMG team is organized into four divisions that service our family of companies and clients: Sales & Trading, Data & Analytics, Clearing & Operations, and Innovation & Product Development. This position is for a professional, polished, meticulous, tech-savvy Personal/Office Assistant needed for an office based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Qualified candidates will have exceptional administrative and organizational skills, superb communication skills, and great instincts; diplomatic with healthy boundaries and outstanding time management skills.
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a frontend developer with experience building applications using modern JS frameworks, such as Ember.js, React, and Svelte. You will build custom UI components, implement responsive interfaces and work to improve the responsiveness and performance of multiple applications. You will work directly with designers and developers to create new customer facing features. From idea to prototype, then release and maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities
– Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, tested, and modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and responsive CSS code.
– Integrate user-facing elements against JSON APIs developed by the backend team.
– Identify usability issues and bugs; devise solutions to these problems.
– Maintain dependencies up to date.
– Document new or existing interface wireframes, mockups, UI/UX flows, features, or incidents.
– Communicate clearly, with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Skills
– Experience turning UX designs, wireframes, and ideas into working, maintainable JS/TS, HTML, and CSS code.
– Experience consuming and integrating solutions leveraging JSON APIs.
– Good understanding of modern JavaScript versions such as ES 2021 (ECMAScript) and TypeScript.
– Proficient understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally Ember.js, React and React Native.
– Experience with front-end development and dependency tools (NPM, Yarn).
– Good understanding of CSS and SASS.
– A knack for writing clean, readable, and testable code.
– Understanding the fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
– Ability to write unit tests and validate through automated testing and continuous integration using GitHub Actions through Pull Requests.
– Proficient understanding of code versioning with git using Github or Bitbucket.
– Basic DevOps experience using AWS services such as S3, CloudFront is not required but a plus.
– Motivation to fix broken things as soon as you notice.
– Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
