Your Role and Responsibilities
This position is for 2023 IBM Accelerate participants that have completed the 8-week summer program and are seeking an internship for Summer 2024. By applying to this position, you are applying to a Front End Developer internship!

You will participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will work to create software that is of high quality and meets our clients' needs. You will also have the opportunity to become a contributor within Open Source communities across multiple disciplines.
In your role, you will be supported by mentors and coaches who will encourage you to challenge the norm, investigate ideas outside of your role, and come up with creative solutions resulting in ground-breaking impact for the wider business, our external clients, & their customers. As a Front End Developer Intern, You Will
- At the nexus of engineering and design, you will be instrumental in bringing industry-defining software products, cloud services and web applications to users around the world.
- Build responsive, elegant and engaging experiences with future friendly web technologies.
- Work closely with designers to take wireframes from conception to implementation, design and improve user interfaces
- Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers.
Who You Are
- Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products.
- Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Great at solving problems, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
- Have the ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently.
- Have a basic understanding of software development and programming languages.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Must have basic knowledge in one or more of the following technology areas: Node.js, React, Vue, Angular
- Successful completion of 2023 IBM Accelerate Program
- Familiarity with automation testing framework
- Skilled in UI Development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
- 3 months experience in web development using HTML and CSS
- 3 months experience in UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, etc.

Location Statement
Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
