Freelance Writer, Solar Panels

The Role

We're looking to add 1-2 writers to produce 3-5 pieces of content per week on an ongoing basis related to solar panels and solar installation. We’re looking for freelance writers with solar panel experience, so if you've worked on solar installation, maintenance, off-grid systems, energy storage, etc., we have a long term project with lots of content to be created.

Please note, this role does require extensive Solar Panel knowledge. Most content will be written with residential solar in mind.

About You

We're looking to hire 1-2 freelance writers who can contribute a minimum of 3-5 articles @ 2,000-3,000 words per post per week (so about 8,000 words per week) about solar panel topics.

Some specifics we're looking for:

• Can be flexible and adjust to the needs of the business quickly
• Understands solar panel systems and the nuances that go along with the trade
• Is tech savvy (i.e., understands Google docs, etc)
• Is/was a solar panel technician
• Understands common solar panel concepts such as photovoltaic systems, grid-tied systems, energy storage, inverters, etc.
• Can handle critical feedback and adjust accordingly

Compensation

We offer a competitive per word payment structure where compensation is based on experience related to the niche. We are highly motivated to find writers with technical expertise. This is a long term role with opportunities to expand into other categories as needed.

Do You Need To Have Experience With Solar Panels?

Yes, it is required that you have experience with solar panels in some capacity.

We have a high editorial standard to ensure the content produced meets and exceeds the expectations of our readers through "actionable insights" our readers can take away as value for consuming our content.
