Form Carpenters/Wall Setters Job Overview:

We are looking for qualified Carpenters/Wall Setters. you will be responsible to provide support at the early stages of a construction project to frame houses, build scaffolding, and make concrete forms. also required to fill the forms that have been created with concrete to mold concrete for projects you will be assigned to.

We are looking for an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of concrete and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.

The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with fabrication during projects.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Responsible for carrying out general construction labor tasks.
• Spread, rake, and finish concrete.
• Take the measurement and cut materials to build forms for pouring concrete.
• Provide support to concrete foreman with project layout and elevation shooting.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
• Installing structural support beams and posts in new construction projects.

Requirements and skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• 1 – 2 years of experience in general carpentry, the ability to understand construction drawings and piece tickets, and expertise in concrete construction carpentry
• Good understanding of basic math
• High school diploma: Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required.
• Hands-on experience in working with all necessary materials.
