Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Distribution and/or stacking of raw materials and finished product in a correct, safe and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Operation of a forklift in both warehouse and production areas.
  • Correct and accurate completion of assigned paperwork.
  • Inspection of trailers to ensure condition and safety of trailer as well as compliance with plant Food Safety Requirements
  • Distinguishing different pack codes for different products.
  • Loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished product.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
  • Following and adhering to logistics ISO procedures.
  • Utilizing the scanning system.
  • Adhere to specific measures as defined by the department and/or plant.
  • Various activities as needed to support other departments in the plant. May include non-forklift activities as well as cross training into other areas of the facility as the business demands.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing loads
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have thorough understanding of SAP and how to process incoming and outgoing loads
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to stay on task
  • Proficient at operating a forklift to load/unload trucks
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to work and communicate with others
  • Maintain a food safe environment.
  • Experience in inventory accuracy and cycle counts
