Forklift Operator - 1St Shift

Position: Forklift Operator

Shift/Schedule: 1st Shift - 7:00am - 3:30pm - Monday thru Friday with OT

Wage: $17.00 per hour

This position involves driving sit down or stand up forklift equipment in a fast paced, food grade warehouse. The Forklift Operator may be tasked with case picking, full pallet picking, eaches picking, loading or unloading trailers, railcars, or containers, or stacking, restacking, or replenishing product. The position also requires using an RF scanner to track inventory movement throughout the warehouse. Position requires lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift and extensive standing, walking, and lifting in a non-climate controlled environment.

Productivity:
1. Meet established productivity standards specific to the account
2. Understand the stocking strategy (location of product)
3. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
4. Follow customer work instructions

Safety:
1. Follow established Dock Safety Policy
2. Complete lift inspection prior to operation
3. Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately
4. Follow safety and security policies and SOPs

Quality:
1. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are error and damage free
2. Ensure that product is scanned properly and matches the item code on the product, pick lists, stocking lists, and physical product
3. Complete all Inbound and Outbound paperwork accurately and completely
4. Report all product damage to your supervisor or manager
5. Maintain inventory accuracy and report all inventory discrepancy to supervisor or manager

Initiative:
1. Knowledge of multiple accounts and or job functions within given operation

Requirements: 1. Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.2. Ability to use handheld RF Scan Device.3. Must be able to lift 50lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.4. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat and reach above shoulder level.5. Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
