New England Gypsum Floors assists Architects, Engineers, and Owners in the development and specifications of new projects in all of New England.


Primary Objective


The Fleet Maintenance Manager will oversee all shop activities and a business partner to the operations team to ensure that the maintenance of all company equipment is being completed in a safe and timely manner. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will be consistently reviewing and auditing all maintenance programs in order to ensure success of the maintenance department.


Key Responsibilities


  • Experience working on construction equipment a plus.
  • Must have computer skills (Word, Excel and Microsoft outlook a must.
  • Experience working with 50 + vehicles (gasoline and diesel) CDL is a plus.
  • Works inside & outside within all elements.
  • Must have experience managing Maintenance Technicians.
  • Exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, standing on concrete, and uneven or slippery surfaces occasionally.
  • Must be able to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
  • Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
  • Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
  • Must have technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle, equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
  • Oversee fleet compliance by ensuring daily inspections of all company vehicles that are governed under the Federal and State regulatory agencies (Federal Motor Carrier, CHP).


Key Requirements


  • High School Diploma and/or GED
  • Experience working with vehicles (gasoline and diesel) CDL is a plus.
  • Must have at least 3-5+ years and relevant experience managing the maintenance functions of an industrial maintenance shop.
  • Diesel Mechanic Certification
  • MS Office skills.
  • ASE or manufacture's certifications a plus.
  • Experience working on construction equipment a plus.
  • Customer service attributes.
