What is interesting in this position?

• You will drive the business through global projects: Develop new flavors, or match existing flavors to meet customer project guidelines. You will recognize problems, and interpret data to find creative solutions to complex flavor issues & regulatory constraints.
• You will develop yourself & others:  Mentor and train Flavorist(s)-In-Training / Junior Flavorist(s) on flavor chemistry and provide sponsorship throughout the Flavorist certification process.
• You will have direct customer interaction:  Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales through direct customer contact, visits, technical presentations, and trade shows (10% travel) to support business growth opportunities. 
• You will be a reliable contact for other departments: Collaborate cross functionally with Applications, Analytical, Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, Sales and other department teams to ensure flavors meet specifications/requirements set by customers and are reproducible in the plant. 
• You will proactively create new flavors:  Develop flavor solutions including new creations, modifications and duplications across a broad range of Savory flavor profiles to meet marketing initiatives, client needs and improve our flavor library portfolio. You will participate in formal Sensory panels as well as day-to-day organoleptic evaluations/screenings of flavors and application prototypes.

What do you need to bring with you?

• Your excellent attention to detail and project management skills, good communication, customer focus and results orientation, will allow you to manage complex projects to meet the customers’ expectations, constraints and deadlines.
• Your knowledge in catalog of flavor raw materials and functionality, processing methods, analytical methods, food regulatory policies, raw material sourcing and quality will help you to be a key contributor in the Flavor Creation team.
• To be successful, you bring a degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g. chemistry, food science, etc.), a full certification in the Society of Flavor Chemists plus experience in food ingredient or flavors industry.
