Machine Operator – Flame Bonding
Summary/Objective The Machine Operator in Flat Bed Lamination is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and within safety standards. T his position assists in the operation of the flat bed machine which includes set-up, loading, starting, adjusting, and following proper operating and safety procedures to produce quality products. The machine operator position operates machinery and troubleshoots to reach production optimization of process parameters. They will actively monitor and comply with all quality standards established to minimize defective product.
Essential Functions

• Basic understanding of FMEA process in order to properly run and troubleshoot. This may include assisting with development of FMEA.
• Responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are met and documented. This includes performing and documenting lab measurements such as thickness, adhesion and width.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
• Basic understanding of textile properties.
• Understanding of IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standards and ISO 9001 Standards.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the preventative maintenance charts.
• Understanding C.H. Mueller Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Ability to work and function in a self-contained, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions to perform all tasks properly and safely.
• Performs typical flame bond machine processes to support the manufacturing operation such as forwarding technical data, production prep, flame bond lamination set up and ongoing maintenance on lamination machine.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work will be Monday through Friday.
The ideal candidate will remain flexible as occasional nights and weekend work will be assigned as needed.
Required Education And Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably in an automotive environment.
• Training in general safety, manufacturing machine operations and quality system awareness.
