Baranko Companies, a large earthwork contractor based out of Dickinson, ND, is currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Flagger to join our team. As a Flagger with Baranko Companies, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safe work zones and directing traffic at various civil engineering job sites. We are looking for an individual who understands the importance of safety and teamwork, and who is able to work well under pressure.

Our longstanding relationships with private entities along with local and state governments in the Midwest have allowed for steady growth and expansion of our services. As a member of the AGC and LEC (Associated General Contractors and Lignite Energy Council), we are committed to providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic flow to ensure worker and public safety
• Remain alert and aware of oncoming traffic and potential hazards
• Set up traffic control devices in work zones, including cones, signs, and barricades
• Stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions
• Communicate effectively with other workers, including heavy equipment operators, to ensure safety and efficiency
• Direct traffic at job sites using signals or hand-held signs

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in difficult and challenging weather conditions
• Familiarity with road and construction safety regulations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
