Crossing Guard Responsibilities:

• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, students, and parents
• Attends all safety and training meetings
• Assist children who are crossing busy streets.
• Instructing children on the safe way to cross the street.
• Report any unsafe behaviors of students to school officials.
• May perform other job duties as assigned.

Crossing Guard Experience and Skills:

• Good verbal communication skills
• Understand the traffic laws, signs and regulations.
• Ability to manage high degrees of stress
• Attention to detail
• Early morning availability
• Judgement/problem solving skills
