  • Synthesize information from law enforcement, public sources, Western Union cases and other commercial and proprietary sources to develop criminal typology characteristics that can be used to identify specific types of suspicious activity and illicit actors within Western Union.
  • Prepare and deliver intelligence briefings to communicate findings.
  • Initiate risk mitigation measures to protect the company.
  • Monitor open source reporting on an assigned criminal typology and/or geography and escalate any emerging trends/risks to FIU leadership.
  • Manipulate and analyze large and complex datasets using ETL, analysis and data visualization tools, such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI and/or SQL, to extract AML/CTF risk-related insights.
  • Produce complex, all-source written intelligence analysis products designed to identify and mitigate AML/CTF risk within the established strategies of Global AML Compliance.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Bank Secrecy Act, AML Compliance, general and/or risk-based compliance, yielding a comprehensive understanding of technology and best practices in the compliance field.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, and/or SQL strongly preferred.
  • Ability to draw analytic conclusions by combining multiple sources of open source and proprietary information. Experience producing finished intelligence products utilizing multiple, disparate sources of information preferred.
