Job Description
The City of Rawlins is currently accepting applications for Fire Fighter. Testing will be held on 6/9/2023 at 11 a.m. at the Rawlins Fire Station #2 (501 East State Street). Individuals who pass the testing process will be added to the Eligibility List. This list is used for selection when a Fire Fighter position becomes available.


This position responds to fire alarms and other emergency calls to protect life and property; drives and operates pumping engines, aerial apparatus, tenders, rescue units, and similar fire protection and emergency automotive equipment; serves as a lead worker of volunteer firefighters in the absence of higher authority. This is an entry-level position.


Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older at the date of hire. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test. A valid Driver\'s License is required. Fire Fighter shall obtain a Commercial Learning Permit within 30 days of employment.
