General Description
Responsible for the preparation of the financial plan, financial reports, and recommendations according to the client’s goals, objectives, and financial situation. Maintain client file and supporting documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare letters or reports with the recommendations or strategies, according to the prepared analysis’ and obtained results.
  • Provide support to obtain additional information from the client and assist the Financial Planner in the implementation of the recommendations.
  • Support the Wealth Management unit in strategic projects as needed.
  • Maintain excellent communications with team players.
  • May attend client meetings.
  • Analyze financial statements or data and income tax for individuals or legal entities.
  • Conduct investment portfolio analysis and manage projections for areas like insurance, retirement, and investment analysis.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Planning or Accounting
Experience
At least two years of related experience. Preferably in taxes or insurance business.
Certifications / Licenses
It is highly recommended to have a designation or certification related to financial planning like Certified Financial Planner, Financial Planner Qualified Professional, Certified Public Accountant, Juris Doctor, among others.
Other Qualifications
  • Excellent oral and written communication, both in English and Spanish.
  • Have or develop technical knowledge in areas such as: investments, trusts, testaments, insurance, income and flow contributions, budgets, business succession, individual credit, and retirement plans.
  • High level of organization to establish priorities, work with multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and be flexible to change.
  • Ability to anticipate financial needs, present alternatives to resolve the situation identified, and provide follow-up to the agreements reached.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of the laws that apply to the financial industry.
  • Skills to prepare effective presentations and present the client if necessary.
  • Analysis skills, task coordination and problem solving.
  • Understand financial statements, analyze them, and make recommendations about them.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
  • MS Office domain: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
