POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Analyst is responsible for aligning business initiatives and processes between Corporate and Strategic departments. The Finance Analyst will work with our team of talented Finance Managers & Analysts to provide innovative and actionable reporting that will drive decision-making.

This individual will play a key role in developing the systems needed to aggregate accounting information into a standard set of financials and transform financial data into meaningful insight. The successful incumbent will be well-versed in accounting principles and financial analysis. OBJECTIVES

• Provide Ad Hoc analysis and recommendations to improve profitability
• Aggregate past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, activity reports and financial forecasts for clients
• Ability to write footnotes to accompany the financial statements’ key points an metrics
• Normalize and develop financial systems to increase efficiency in reporting
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and Ad Hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards
• Provide financial evaluation of opportunities
• Work closely with internal Finance Managers & Advisors to assist in the financial management, planning, systems and controls for clients to include: key performance indicators (KPIs), income statements, balance sheets, budgeting, forecasts, and chart of accounts

COMPETENCIES

• Strong understanding of how to perform variance analyses
• Strong aptitude for interpreting financial statements
• Strong understanding of financial models, budgets and financial reporting packages
• Ability to work with project management software (e.g.,Asana) and G-Suite (Slides and Docs)
• Ability to identify inefficiencies in financial reporting and propose a potential solution
• Demonstrate proficiency using QuickBooks
• Ability to gather and skillfully analyze financial data and identify the information needed to solve a problem effectively
• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
• At least 3 years’ work experience in Finance and Accounting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
