Job Description

Randstad is actively assisting a long time client with its search for a Financial Analyst in Charlotte, NC (specifically Huntersville, NC). Our client is a well established and profitable organization with a strong track record of employee development and retention. They are offering competitive compensation, and looking to hire quickly.

Overview:

The team is looking to bring in a candidate with experience doing analysis of current/future financials, margin analysis, profitability analysis, and other financial analytics models. The team focuses on doing Financial Analysis targeted towards after-market product sales. The after-market sales team focuses on reselling or leasing previously owned or used golf carts.

  • The team is looking for someone that has some basic accounting work experience such as debits & credits journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. While they aren’t hiring for an accountant there are some accounting responsibilities.
  • They are looking for someone that, ideally, has start to finish experience individually building reporting dashboards, etc. The candidate must have experience working with Tableau or other dashboard tools, with an emphasis on the ability to create and develop these dashboards.

That being said, if the candidate has a strong financial accounting background, experience doing reconciliations work, and can handle financial analytics work, they would be open to this background as well.

Primary :

This role will directly support the Aftermarket business with forecasting, variance analysis and accounting activities related to the Aftermarket Sales and Product Teams.

  • Support the annual Standard Book Valuation process and perform system updates for approved values.
  • Monitor and correct inventory variances between Car Tracking System (CTS) and Mapics ERP.
  • They want candidates that don't just understand how to do financial analytics, but also someone that has the ability to tell a story with what the financials are saying/showing.
  • Assist with creating and running report views for the Aftermarket Sales and Product Managers.
  • If the candidate comes from a manufacturing setting, that could be ideal, but is definitely not needed.
  • Compile monthly financial packages for the Sales and Product Group business partners.
  • Host monthly financial reviews with key business partners and stakeholders.
  • Complete P&L analysis and ending inventory reports to support the Monthly Operations Review (MOR) presentation and monthly Treasury requests.
  • Ability to run ad hoc analysis and present findings in an insightful manner.
  • Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • The team primarily uses AS400, Hyperion, and Tableau/OBI, and is responsible for evaluating use transactions, margin analysis, profitability analysis, and other financial reporting statements. If the candidate has experience using data visualization tools (Tableau in particular), that is very helpful.
  • Perform Aftermarket business and inventory reconciliations; resolve variances in a timely manner.
  • Respond to accounting and financial questions by researching and analyzing data.
  • Facilitate monthly discussions with sales teams in regards to open trades / trades in transit; capture resolution plan.
  • Provide product and sales support by loading data into Hyperion for the annual operating plan (AOP) and quarterly forecast cycles.
  • The candidate will primarily be responsible for Financial Analytics work, and basic GAAP practices (month-end close responsibilities).
  • Manage and perform month-end close activities such as accruals, depreciation revaluations, re-classes, Augusta branch location and work order allocation entries; ensuring accuracy and timeliness, in accordance with financial controls and accounting policies.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of finance related experience. Must be detail-oriented, deadline sensitive and able to adapt to change in a fast-paced team environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to demonstrate a very high skill level in Excel. Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to host teleconferences and work from home on an as needed basis in a space that is free of distractions and is home office ready.
