The A.C. Coy Company is currently hiring for a Field Technician role to support client locations in Greater Philadelphia, and at times, across the U.S. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of IT, RF, or telecom experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to complete walking tests of up to 1/2 mile, when needed.

Our Client will provide paid training, a vehicle to use for work, a gas card, and all the necessary test equipment.

• Perform benchmark and post-commissioning data collection using laptop, PCTEL scanner, UE’s and industry standard data collection software
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex installation and hardware problems for both active and passive DAS equipment
• Use test equipment such as signal generator, spectrum analyzer, Cat5/6 cable tester and fiber optic power meter to troubleshoot and diagnose network issues
• Navigate technical scope of work documents to accurately execute procedures and deliverables
• Support Senior Field Engineers on site in assembly, programming, troubleshooting, optimization, and commissioning of Distributed Antenna Systems
• Provide onsite engineering support during deployment of Distributed Antenna Systems

Required

• Ability to lift 50lbs, work from ladders, climb, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to walk up to 1/2 mile to perform in-building walk tests in large buildings
• Basic proficiency with Windows, PC hardware, MS Office Software, and other basic applications
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skill
• Proficiency with common hand tools
• Ability to work independently with minimum oversight
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
• Two or more years of technical work experience in the Information Technology or Wireless Telecom industries; Veterans with technical specialties encouraged to apply.

Preferred

• Experience with wireless telecommunications
• Ability to read blueprints, design drawings & Visio drawings

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel daily throughout the PA/NJ/DE area and do national travel a few times per month (during the week)
• Ability to clear criminal background checks, drug screen and driver’s license check
