Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Use hand tools like wrenches, handsaws, cable strippers, torches, electrical testing equipment and power tools to perform the task at hand.
  • To provide product training to partners and installers, including product orientation to potential installers. Ability to run technical trainings
  • Participate in and carry out internal technical trainings.
  • Represent nVent in engineering design discussions with, for example, Clients and sub-contractors
  • Coordinating interested parties to resolve warranty cases as the need arises.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize IoT based Controls products in the field.
  • Provide customer and sales support of software based and connected product solutions.
  • Assist sales and clients on technical, procedural and commercial needs to ensure reliable performance of our applications and full customer's satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that installation instructions are being adhered to by installers
  • To write technical reports and field reports.
YOU HAVE:
  • 5+ years of industrial service experience, preferably with a strong background in electrical theory or as a maintenance technician.
  • Involved in development, configuring, or fixing of IoT based Controls or Instrumentation products.
  • Proficient with hand tools like wrenches, handsaws, cable strippers, torches, power tools, multimeters and insulation testers.
  • Knowledge of power distribution, electrical controls (mechanical & electronics) instrumentation, and technical prints.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and travel up to 5 days per week if needed.
  • Proficient with IOS tablet driven software packages and MS desktop hardware and software packages.
  • The ability to work in various work environments including but not limited to outdoors during winter & summer, at heights, industrial plants, airports, hotels, and mass transit stations.
  • Experience with diagnosing and resolving product and installation issues.
  • Experience in industrial electrical heat trace or industrial HVAC strongly preferred.
  • Experience with software-based products operating in an Industrial and/or Commercial environment.
  • The ability to work in/on uneven terrain, confined spaces, elevated spaces, and climb ladders/stairs while carrying 50 pounds.

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$71,900.00 - $133,500.00
