Compensation Data


Salary: $65,000 - $95,000/year

Purpose of the position


The Field Service Engineer/Technician’s primary goal is to provide hands-on technical support for Bromma equipment in the North American region.

Main tasks and responsibilities


  • Relay information concerning customer needs and problems to our Sales group and Product Line
  • Coordinate and perform field service activities and after-sales projects
  • Perform classroom and hands-on training at customer sites
  • Complete required internal and external reporting
  • Handle warranty related claims
  • Start-up and commission of new equipment
  • Install software upgrades and make needed programming changes at customer sites
  • Travel is estimated at 75% (Mostly domestic, some international-Home on most weekends
  • Perform other related after-sales duties as assigned
  • Relay design or functional problems identified in field operations to Engineering.
  • Communicate with customers to determine equipment problems
  • Maintain good communication with customers
  • Program and test electronic equipment for spare parts or warranties

What you’ll need to succeed


Education:


  • Preference will be given to those with advanced technical degrees and/or training
  • High School diploma is a minimum


Experience:


  • (3-5) years’ of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the Industrial and/or Heavy Equipment industries will be strongly considered
  • Candidates must have a strong and diverse technical background including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
