Our US Food division is based in Sacramento, CA. and we are always looking for passionate individuals to join our organization. For this position we are specifically looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer in the Philadelphia PA area.


As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be part of a global service team and will report to the Field Service Supervisor. With "Safety first" mindset throughout the daily work both at company and our customer sites.


You Will


  • Perform all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical tuning and setup.
  • Work on intelligent and pioneering technologies
  • Perform Field service activities including commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimization and maintenance of equipment.
  • Be trained and equipped with the necessary knowledge and tool.
  • Be a TOMRA ambassador
  • Collaborate with customers on-site and provide consultancy that help customers to achieve highest performance and reduce food waste


Qualifications


Qualifications:


  • You have a passion for Engineering.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in field service and customer support.
  • Technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up skills.
  • You love to relate to customers, their views, and issues, locally and in other countries and cultures.
  • Working knowledge of basic analog and digital circuits, electrical power circuits, PLC circuits.
  • You are intrigued by travelling at least 80% of the time, and with a high degree of flexibility.


Physical Abilities & Requirements


  • Must be able to drive without restrictions and for long distances.
  • Must be able to work from home or office base.
  • Must not have major food allergies that would impede job requirements.
  • Must be able to work in Food Processing plants, farms, high/low temperature facilities and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to distinguish between the full range of colors on the color spectrum.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to travel domestically, and internationally as needed, 85% or more of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, kneel, or stand, and lift up to 80 pounds.
