This job will be part of the Keysight Global Services Organization, which helps customers manage test instruments across the instruments' lifecycles - calibration, repair, technology refresh, asset management, consulting, training, and product purchase alternatives. With service centers in over 30 countries, Services is a people intensive, local business.

We have an exciting opportunity for a proven technical expert in the Repair & Calibration of Test and Measurement Equipment. This is role for a key individual who will work full time at the customer site in Greensboro NC, performing calibration on a wide range of manufactures equipment and repairs on Keysight products.

Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain close communication with customers to ensure optimal performance of customers' and Keysight Technologies' test equipment assets

Ensure compatibility between customer expectation and support provided by Keysight Technologies.

Evaluate test failures, distinguishing between hardware & system software to determine if repair or re-alignment is required

Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on Keysight and non-Keysight products after repairs

Understand, and utilize STE, TME, and PC based software as required

Install software and firmware upgrades that may include re-image of the customer’s instrument

Ability to Perform repairs, on most Keysight products that are critical to customer uptime
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years related experience in Field Customer Support of Test and Measurement instruments with typically 7+ years of overall experience
  • Must have calibration and repair service experience of all types of Keysight Test Equipment
  • Must have ability to lift 35 lbs
  • Must have experience in Test and Measurement industry
  • Experience using automated calibration software platforms (STE, TME, PC Based, etc) a plus.
  • Candidates must be in local area (Greensboro NC) or willing to relocate themselves
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and peers
  • RF/ Microwave repair and calibration to 50 GHz is preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, University Degree, Technical School or Military PMEL/TMDE or equivalent industry experience
