Avant Food Media is growing! We are seeking a features editor to join our vibrant team as we expand our B2B media offerings.

Our content includes Commercial Baking and Craft to Crumb quarterly magazines plus monthly/weekly newsletters, podcasts, videos and various custom digital products for retail and wholesale bakeries ranging from small startups to 100-year-old global brands. We deliver fresh, easy-to-access content, and the features editor is a key element.

What you’ll be doing:

- Sourcing, interviewing and writing in-depth features for Commercial Baking and Craft to Crumb publications and their respective websites

- Researching the latest bakery and consumer trends

- Traveling to commercial and retail bakeries for features and profiles

- Attending industry tradeshows for networking, education and content

- Participating in editorial production process

What it takes:

- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field

- Minimum 3-5 years of media experience

- Superior written and verbal communication skills with sharp eye for detail

- Entrepreneurial spirit and hard-core work ethic

- Knowledge of baking industry and/or magazine production a plus

- Proficiency in AP style
