Job Description
If you want job flexibility and to make a difference in the lives of children and families and the community, join Acenda's Keeping Families Together (KFT) program! You'd be joining a team of dedicated staff providing therapeutic services to support Atlantic County families involved with DCP&P who have multiple behavior health and concrete needs. $500 sign on bonus and bilingual differential What you'll do as a therapist Provide therapy and therapeutic support services to families with a history of homelessness or housing instability Assist parents to make a successful transition to self-sufficient living and improved individual and family stability Address directly and through linkages trauma, loss, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, mental health issues Provide evidence-informed treatment to build positive interactions, enhance child, parent, and family well-being, and stabilize the home and family. Co-facilitate groups for parents, children and families Work collaboratively with your KFT peers, DCP&P and community service providers Complete documentation consistent with program and agency requirements What Acenda provides A supportive, inclusive, team-oriented environment Flexibility with your work setting and hours Competitive salary and 401k with a match Health, vision, dental and employee wellness program Opportunity for quarterly incentives and year-end performance bonus Generous number of vacation days each year CEU's and free training programs Regular supervision and professional development opportunities An innovative culture which allows you to grow and learn with the agency What you'll contribute as a therapist Master's degree in counseling, social work or a related field Strong engaging, communication and collaboration skills Professionalism, ethics and a commitment to excellence in care A solid understanding of trauma, loss, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, mental health issues Must demonstrate initiative, creativity, reliability and the ability to work well independently Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record Experience working with DCP&P involved families preferred. Certification in substance abuse or experience with substance abuse treatment preferred.
