Family Law Paralegal Jobs

Cozen O’Connor is seeking a litigation paralegal with 3+ years of experience. The candidate should have strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable prioritizing and balancing a variety of tasks and have experience in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania courts. Though not necessary, knowledge of Family Law is a plus. The firm is offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote for all paralegals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize documents for and prepare attorneys to handle depositions, trials, mediations, and court appearances.
• Assist two attorneys in all aspects of Family Law matters.
• Docket deadlines in accordance with the applicable state, local, and judicial rules.
• Utilize computer databases to organize, store, and access information.
• Prepare, file, and serve legal documents such as pleadings & motions, discovery requests, letters, stipulations and proposed orders, summary of support calculations, subpoenas, emergency petitions, adoption and name change petitions, special relief petitions, and pre-marital and post-nuptial settlement agreements.
• Maintain communications with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses.

A four year bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate is required.
