Job Description


Intel External Manufacturing Production team is chartered with high volume manufacturing of Intel products with our 3rd party Foundry and OSAT suppliers.


This position works in Intel External Manufacturing and Quality Enhancement Engineering organization and partners with Intel internal, Foundries and 3rd party FA labs to perform failure analysis of Intel product. Responsible for identifying and researching silicon failures to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability. Evaluates the electrical, physical, and material characteristics of integrated circuits to determine the root cause of failure. Analyzes failure reports and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.


As a Successful Candidate, You Must Possess


  • Ownership by interfacing with Labs to stive the good track of records and performances to improve FIFA KPIs.
  • Responsible for communicating with the product development engineer to debug FI testability and cooperating with the Lab FIFA engineer to root cause. Able to communicate with the FAB technical team for process root causes to enhance product yield.
  • Independent working of dealing with FA samples arrangement, allocation, and logistics between Foundries, internal and 3rd party Labs.
  • Familiar with Lab tooling operations such as OBRICH/TIVA/PEM and SEM/TEM, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Failure Isolation (FI) and Failure Analysis (FA) to assist product engineers with defect observation and yield improvement in high-volume production.

  • Good understanding in Scan diagnosis, Memory bit mapping analysis, and layout system to ensure FA success rate. Hands on experiences on above areas highly preferred

  • Team player / facilitator. Works collaboratively with other teams and role models collaboration.

Qualifications


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications


  • 3+ years of working experience on product issues debugging, product test related, and driving Foundry FA activities.
  • 5+ years of working experience in the FA Lab and familiarity with FIFA tool operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/ chemical/material/ physics/mechanical engineering or related fields.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in electrical/Chemical/ Material/ Physics/Mechanical Engineering, or related fields

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
