Facility Security Officer - Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing

Primus Aerospace is looking for a FSO to work on-site in our Reisterstown, Maryland manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for implementing the industrial security program to ensure company and customer security requirements are met. The successful candidate will be required to conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet security requirements and prevent unauthorized access to company and government information.

Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all functions of the defense industrial security program and special access programs: physical security, classified cyber security (network, standalone and test equipment, visitor control, asset protection, access control, etc.).
• Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefings, investigate and report security violations and incidents; provide annual employee refresher training.
• Interpret patterns of noncompliance to determine impact on levels of risk and/or overall effectiveness of company cybersecurity program; manage the monitoring of information security data sources to maintain organizational situational awareness; oversee the information security training and awareness program.
• Administer personnel security clearance process.
• Develop and maintain effective “document inventory and control program”; create and update security plans, procedures and instructions; perform access control duties including managing badges, access cards and visit requests.
• Ensure compliance with company and government security regulations; generate security policy and procedures; address and resolve security issues at all levels; maintain all required documentation and submissions in accordance with government requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree in security administration or related equivalent experience
• 3+ years previous FSO experience, ISSO/ISSM experience
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with JPAS, eMASS, implementation of a System Security Plan
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite products
• Ability to audit and test information and physical security controls and document results in eMASS
• Industrial Security Professional Certification (ISP) desired
