Job Description

Fiber Glass Systems, a Division of National Oilwell Varco, is a leading manufacturer of fiberglass pipe. We have an immediate opening for the following full-time position. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Determine the most appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner.
  • Inspect and test welds to determine whether the weld is of suitable quality for its intended application.
  • Adhere to all Company policies. Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Attend work per work schedule. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Set up equipment and apply appropriate welding techniques to produce quality welds.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills (required)
  • Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding Manufacturing or experience (preferred)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to use and read welding measuring devices to include but not limited to squares, levels, and tape measures.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
