Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. Our vision is to become the best water consulting firm, and we are looking for motivated, talented people to help us reach that goal.
As a member of our team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world.
- Assist in laboratory and field services.
- Assist in proposing and evaluating solutions to a broad range of water treatment related challenges.
- Help develop concepts for novel hardware for use in the water industry.
- Assist in keeping the fabrication/warehouse facility clean, organized, and a safe environment.
- Place orders from online product catalogs, such as McMaster, Grainger, and MSC Industrial, to construct designs to meet client needs.
- Fabricate custom laboratory and field equipment for a wide variety of water and wastewater treatment applications using hand tools, power tools, and machines, as well as welding.
- Troubleshoot/maintain laboratory and field equipment.
- Excellent all-around computer skills especially in Microsoft Windows and Office.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with a wide range of fabrication methods and machining processes with hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining in a professional setting.
- Desire to learn 3D solid modeling software such as Solidworks, FreeCAD, Inventor, and SketchUp with some degree of proficiency.
- Passion for fabricating, welding, and machining, 3D printing, etc.
- Desire and ability to learn new concepts.
- Minimum 3 years of experience welding in a professional setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - clear and direct.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable reviewing online product catalogs for McMaster, Grainger, and MSC Industrial to build and place orders to construct our shop designs which meet our clients' needs.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn specific software quickly through in-person instruction or independently from online tutorials.
- Knows and understands limitations of their own knowledge and does not hesitate to ask questions.
